Sony Xperia phones gradually achieve zero plastic packaging until plastic is completely eliminated

Prior to this, Sony launched the “Green Management 2025” plan, which is dedicated to making Sony move towards “zero load.” In detail, the “Green Management 2025” plan will reduce the amount of plastic in Sony’s portable product packaging until the use of plastic is completely eliminated.

From 2018 to 2019, the plastic molding tray in the Sony portable product packaging was replaced by a pulp tray; the plastic molding gasket was replaced by a card. From 2019 to 2020, the structure of Sony’s portable product packaging box has changed and the use of materials has been reduced. From 2020 to 2021, the film layer on the surface of the Sony portable packaging box was replaced by varnish, the plastic cover of the attached USB cable was replaced by a paper cover, and the film layer on the sticker surface was replaced by varnish. Sony is very concerned about sustainable development, and its Xperia mobile phone products are reducing the use of plastic by eliminating plastic accessories or replacing them with paper materials. Finally, Sony will use paper sleeve materials instead of plastic materials, trying every possible way to reduce the use of plastics.
Xiaobian believes that many mobile phone manufacturers are now reducing the use of packaging materials, which is a good thing for the global environment, and hope that more mobile phone manufacturers can adopt zero-plastic packaging solutions in the future.
