But there is another security measure you can take.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For an extra layer of protection, you can turn a humble USB drive into a secure key that will lock and unlock your PC, making it much harder for intruders to gain access. Here\u2019s how\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&gt;&gt;&gt;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oriccabattery.co.uk\/fujitsu-battery-FPB0361S-p1787507.htm\">Replacement battery for Fujitsu FPB0361S FPCBP595 CP813800-01<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-to-do\">What to do\u2026<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Windows 11 has a facility to set up a secure USB key. But I prefer to use the free third-party app USB Raptor, which gives me a little more control over how my key works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Get a USB flash drive without any files loaded on it. I\u2019m using theSanDisk 16GB Ultra Fit, which cost me $9 on Amazon.<\/li><li>Download and installUSB Raptorand launch the app. It will launch in configuration mode with three steps to complete to set up your secure key.<\/li><li>Step 1: Choose an encryption password and write it down somewhere so you don\u2019t forget it.<\/li><li>Step 2: Plug in your USB flash drive and choose the correct drive letter it was allocated. Now click<em>Create k3y file<\/em>.<\/li><li>Step 3: Before you enable USB Raptor, you\u2019ll want to create a backdoor login in case you lose your key.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/b2c-contenthub.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Screenshot-2025-04-10-115322.png\" alt=\"Secure USB flash drive key\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">USB Raptor launches a three step configuration process.&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"create-a-backdoor-login\">Create a backdoor login<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In the top-right corner of the app click in the box next to<em>Advanced configuration<\/em>.<\/li><li>Click on<em>Lock features<\/em>in the top menu. Navigate down to<em>Backdoor access<\/em>.<\/li><li>Now click<em>Generate RUID file<\/em>. Two others include&nbsp;Predator&nbsp;and&nbsp;Rohos Logon Key Free. While some of what you can do in these apps is free you will have to pay to unlock a full suite of features.&gt;&gt;&gt;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oriccabattery.co.uk\/sony-battery-NP-FA50-p1787042.htm\">Replacement battery for Sony DCR-PC1000E<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"more-things-to-note\">More things to note:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Be sure to label your USB flash drive security key so that you never mix it up with other drives you own.<\/li><li>Use a USB drive with a fast read\/write speed to make your login quicker.<\/li><li>Before you create a key, back up your data to ensure you don\u2019t lose it.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019ve followed the steps above, you should now have a secure key that will make your PC more secure \u2014 as well as backdoor access in case anything goes wrong.
