\n\nToday\u2019s news, Apple suddenly announced the opening of repair rights for its equipment, and will launch a self-service repair program starting in 2022, allowing users to repair iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 through their own channels through the sale of parts, tools, and repair manuals. Although this may seem like an outpouring of compassion from Apple, in fact, Apple’s previous practices were suspected of encroaching on consumer rights.
The biggest reason why Apple\u2019s equipment is difficult to repair and replace is that Apple does not want third parties to obtain its components, manuals, and diagnostic tools, in order to increase consumers\u2019 reliance on the enterprise, and better restrict consumer behavior, and even lobby against grants Consumers\u2019 right to repair the law. iFixit founder and CEO Kyle Wiens (Kyle Wiens) also said that this new plan represents a major change in Apple’s concept.
