\n 2.Turn off the laptop.
\n 3.Press the power button to restart your laptop.
\n 4.Press the Esc key immediately, once the laptop powers up.
\n 5.The Start Up menu will appear. Select System Diagnostics.
\n 6.A list of diagnostics and component tests should pop up. Select Battery Test.
\n 7.Plug the power cord back in.
\n8.Click the Start Battery Test button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nOnce your system completes the battery test, you should see a status \nmessage, such as OK, Calibrate, Weak, Very Weak, Replace, No Battery, or\n Unknown. We advise you to consult your specific model\u2019s owner\u2019s manual \nto determine the next course of action, depending on which status \nmessage appears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Test Laptop Battery Method #2: Clever Trick<\/strong>
\nYou can also troubleshoot your laptop battery using a much simpler \ntrick. This is more of a way to figure out if the issue lies within your\n battery or in the laptop itself, rather than anything else. Here\u2019s what\n to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nIf your laptop isn\u2019t working properly:
\n 1.Remove your battery
\n 2.Run your laptop on the AC adapter only
\n 3.If it starts to work perfectly, then you know it\u2019s a problem with your battery, and not your PC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
